A new ride for 2017. The Asheville Ramble is October 14-16.
Asheville is an oasis and if you’ve spent some time there you know just how much. Home of the second New Belgium brewery and nestled in the Blue Ridge, Asheville is a draw for creative types, outdoor types and every type in between. We chose the fall for several reasons. First, have you been to the South in July? Second, Fall in the South is magical. Fall in the Blue Ridge is extra magical. Come ride with us.
Roughly 75% road, the Asheville Ramble loops you through Pisgah National Forest and through the Blue Ridge mountains in a loop beginning and ending at the New Belgium brewery.
The ride is classic North Carolina with quiet roads, back country gravel, steep climbs and a stunning backdrop of Fall colors.
Camping Wednesday night and Saturday night available on site at New Belgium.
188 miles with over 19K feet in climbing…it’s a tough one.*
Day one: 53 miles, 5.5K of climbing.
Day two: 76 miles, 7.8K of climbing.
Day three: 56 miles, 6.5K of climbing.
*while we’re hitting the gravel the Pisgah has to offer, we’ll also be rambling on back roads so for this ride particularly, a less aggressive tire choice is wise.
