We’ll have transport from Portland to Prineville for instance. Saturday, the arrival ETA at the end is around 2-3pm. A dinner and end-of-ride celebration is part of Ramble including final night camping. We add that extra day on the schedule because, being tired, having a few beers and the post ride party, we want to give participants the safe environment to enjoy the accomplishment. That said, if you wanted to take off when you arrive in Prineville after a round of high-five’s, you absolutely could. Transport services will leave by 11am Sunday or earlier if the group using is ready. About a 2.5 hour ride back to Portland would get you home mid afternoon at the latest. We’ll host a little get together at Good Bike Company in Prineville Wednesday night. Ride is TH/FR/SAT with the post party Saturday night. Transport back to Portland Sunday. We’ll do another quick ride meeting the morning of 8th for those that roll in on the day of.

You’re open to what bike to ride that is capable of riding on dirt and gravel roads. It’s really a mix of Gravel and Mountain bikes out there. We have some Q&A that speak to this: http://newbelgiumramble.com/2017/01/03/what-type-of-bike-should-i-ride/ and http://newbelgiumramble.com/2017/01/02/tires/. As to what to bring on the ride…have you covered there too: http://newbelgiumramble.com/2017/01/04/what-should-i-bring/

Are riders using mountain bikes or road bikes on this trip? Do we carry our packs filled with sleeping bags, tents, etc.? Looks like a great time, I just need a few more details. Thank you!
